Another easier way to go to South Heaven’s Gate (all the routes here). Not as spectacular as Dog’s Tooth version, but suitable for less experienced hikers or those with mild vertigo.
Out of the ordinary constructions within Hong Kong landscape. Good for initiation hike or to add to longer routes.
Good initiation stream hike. Gentle slope, tons of easy exits upwards, incremental difficulty, pristine water, some nice small waterfalls.
Lower Shing Mun reservoir provides a nice short stream and adventure hike. It can be added to a day of tunnels or others above.
Nice stream with a couple of thin but cute waterfalls ending in Thousand Islands or another easy stream down.
The Southernmost part of Lantau provides picturesque landscapes, some historical sites and little or no crowds.
Sometimes friends ask for an easy walk or newcomers want to see touristy destinations. This includes both.
The North of the Plover Cove country park is full of abandoned little villages. Nice walk or run with history around.
