After showing the video of the waterfall, quite some friends asked me if I knew any other “easier” way there. As mentioned, the main option would be renting a kayak or SUP from Stanley. But I wanted to give it another try. There are a couple of other land options. One of them would be coasteering: either starting from the Marine Institute or going down to this Bay through the hike paths you can see coming from the concrete road. The initial part is easier, bit more tricky in this section. I was wearing my helmet on and valuables within a waterproof bag. A lifejacket would be a sensible option if you are going to be coasteering long. You never know when you can fall into the water. And actually, sometimes it is indeed safer to jump into the water and back again up to the rocks (full leg and arm coverage recommended).

In any case, finally I got to the waterfall and there is indeed a path which goes down there. But with a little problem. Video in.

So the path starts within the property of someone (?) It is a bit strange. Even the official maps show the path…

And seems that quite some of the squatter structures in that area are illegal…

There were no dogs here. But yes in the other paths/roads around. I tried them before going down the road next to the H.F. Radio Transmitting Station and coasteering. So you better have something in your hands to scare them if trying any other approach in the area (the reason why I was holding the stick).
