Hiking, running, swimming every bit of Hong Kong

Tag Lantau

Double Dragon

Double Dragon stream (雙龍石澗) is another interesting way up to Sunset Peak. First section with several pools to dip into. Second section with the best waterfalls.

Tung Lung stream

The Sunset Dragon stream (東龍石澗) is the little brother of Wong Lung Hang. Usually a shorter route (you could continue up till the very Sunset Peak) but full of all kind of falls.

Tsing Lung stream

Tsing Lung (Green Dragon) Stream (青龍石澗) is a very interesting way up to Sunset peak. Several high waterfalls, pools to dip into, high cliffs relatively easy to scramble on.

Ling Bai stream

Different streams in the South West of Lantau island. Nothing especially impressive, but good for a day going up and down these watercourses and the hills around.

Teapot ridge (茶壺咀脊)

Another easier way to go to South Heaven’s Gate (all the routes here). Not as spectacular as Dog’s Tooth version, but suitable for less experienced hikers or those with mild vertigo.

Nei San stream

Quite close to Tung Chung, another way to go up to the Buddha temple within crystalline water and challenging jungle waterfalls.

High Island streams

Tin Mei and Tin Mei Han streams (田尾坑右源), two tributaries to High Island reservoir, provide some fine views & fun.

North Heaven’s Gate

Another interesting way up to Lantau Peak. A little cave, steep paths, and picturesque cliffs included.

South Lantau

The Southernmost part of Lantau provides picturesque landscapes, some historical sites and little or no crowds.
