Pok To Yan North stream (箔刀屻北坑) with its various tributaries is recommended only for the most hardcore “I want to see all streams”.
An easy, short, nice stream with several waterfalls and pools in Lantau. To add for a long day or good for beginners (explanation) on its own.
Transliteration of West Dog’s Tooth pit (西狗牙坑) also known as West Zig-zag Brook (too many names) is another fun and trickier way to go up to that area.
Have you checked the other streams in the Badlands? Then go and try the third (and fourth) one. Not as fun but an interesting route anyhow.
Have you hiked the main Ng Tung Chai waterfalls? If you want to continue exploring the area with a more difficult route this is for you.
Wong Chung stream (黃涌石澗) is a cute short stream. The mossy rocks can be a little bit slippery, perfect for a completely wet route after rainy days.
Tung Ma To (東馬肚坑 – East Horse Belly stream) South tributary is a spectacular difficult jungle stream connecting with the Hunch Backs.
Once upon a time Dragon’s Back was a nice hike option around Shek O. Overcrowded now. Other options in the same area here: nice view hill & tiny streams.
Another tributary with nice waterfalls in Wong Lung Han area. Steadily steep, with some scrambling sections & fewer people than the latter.
