Minuscule creek just good for “wants to see them all”s. Even under heavy rain it will not have but one significant waterfall & fun scramble.

We were going to Chung Hom Kok beach and I realized that there was a stream marked on the hill above that I hadn’t hiked. It looked small enough to explore it and run down to the beach in little time. So I got a pair of gloves, the arm & calf protectors and exploring time!

I got down at the Headland road bus stop and from there jogged to the stream. There is a clear entrance on the left side, with a path that brings you to it. Later preparing this post I realized that you could start even slightly lower and cross the tunnel under the road. In here.

My initial section up to the catchwater (0:26) was uneventful. Slightly bushy, tiny waterfalls, minimal scrambling. Go under the the bridge and up here.

Most of the year I guess it is dry. Moving up it gets bushier and sometimes thorny soon. Quite some loose rocks, although not too dangerous, as not so steep. There were quite some plastic small ribbons full route, but nevertheless in one section I got confused. I guess because of a recent storm several trees were down and the bush had started to grow on them and I ended up a bit too much on the right side. A complete section of loose rocks, even big ones (1:25), were the clue to go back and try to find the way a bit further left. Some thorns after I found more ribbons and the only significant scramble (2:03). Most surely after heavy rain there is a cute waterfall here. More loose rocks, a few thorns, arrive to the top, and run Wilson Trail down towards Stanley.
