Hiking, running, swimming every bit of Hong Kong

Category Hiking

Tai Cheung stream

A relatively easy stream with some flow most year long. Several nice waterfalls and pools with easy transportation start and end points.

East Phoenix Stream

Another relatively easy route in Lantau. High cliff and waterfall to conquer but with low water flow and a bit jungly on the top.

Tung Chung falls

Pok To Yan North stream (箔刀屻北坑) with its various tributaries is recommended only for the most hardcore “I want to see all streams”.

Tei Shek stream

An easy, short, nice stream with several waterfalls and pools in Lantau. To add for a long day or good for beginners (explanation) on its own.

Thousand Islands

This can be a super simple adventure or just a walk. Including it on the web only because quite some people have asked me about the viewpoints.

Sai Kau Nga Hang

Transliteration of West Dog’s Tooth pit (西狗牙坑) also known as West Zig-zag Brook (too many names) is another fun and trickier way to go up to that area.

Ling Ngau stream

Have you checked the other streams in the Badlands? Then go and try the third (and fourth) one. Not as fun but an interesting route anyhow.

Banana stream

Have you hiked the main Ng Tung Chai waterfalls? If you want to continue exploring the area with a more difficult route this is for you.

Wong Chung stream

Wong Chung stream (黃涌石澗) is a cute short stream. The mossy rocks can be a little bit slippery, perfect for a completely wet route after rainy days.
