Another small stream heading up towards Needle Hill. Gentle high falls and pools that can look pretty in rainy season before bushy/slippery exit.
- Beauty/fun: 5/10 under average conditions (not after heavy rain) better overall than Shen Xiu itself, but for the cliff. Heung Fan Liu and Seven Chords have better flow & picturesque falls.
- Difficulty (check this link if new here, this is not your standard HK hiking web): 4.5/10 just because the not so clear exit and potential slippery rocks depending on the conditions. Short and easy otherwise.

Same as the previous streams closest MTR Station is Tai Wai. Up concrete and start at the (following the marks on the map above)
(1) Stream. Water gathering ground, but there is a small side path next to a fence just a few meters above for easier entrance. The first waterfall not even 100m later.
(2) Up till here nice continuous waterfalls. Must look good in the rainy season. It might be slightly slippery then on the lower section. Good grip shoes recommended.
(3) Nice 1.5 + 4 m waterfall with pool under. Tricky pass on the left. A lot easier on the right. Just after red ribbons heading left side out of the stream
(4) Mossy slider if you continue in the stream. Easier following ribbons on the right. If on the mossy section very doable (Nov) stepping on vegetation on the very right. I saw pipes in the opposite side heading up the other tributary, but they connected with the side path a little later.
(5) The stream counties up here but got bushy very fast and I couldn’t see any clear hiking signs. I went down barely 10m and found ribbons heading to a gentle slab and then hiking path SW direction. This option looked easier than the SE steeper path in the open street maps.
Moving forward completely dry. (6) Connection with named path, clear but not very wide either
(7) Connection Heung Fan Liu.Plastic ribbons heading till here. There was a little fork that was confusing, going downhill mostly is the correct way. From here I decided to jog downhill, on a clear path with ribbons, slightly sandy.
