Wong Lung Hang might be the number one stream in Hong Kong. The Right Dragon 右龍石澗 Yau Lung is one of the exit options.

See full screen & Garmin track.

I think at least once every year we hike full Wong Lung Hang. Last April we decided to exit through Right Dragon before connecting with Tung Lung. Pics from that day.

Follow the instructions of the original post, if needed. As mentioned I wouldn’t suggest this as the best option if the first time there.

In any case, once you have enjoyed Dragon Tail area head back to the right side of Right Dragon.

Where Denvy & James are you should be able to see already the path with a few ribbons around. Be careful though. It seems that some groups of hikers decided that the original route was too risky for them and set a new path which had more ribbons on. In our case, after a short check of that ribboned area on the right, we went back down and scrambled up these walls.

There are old ropes set that you might want to avoid, but that help you find the usual way up. In little time you will arrive at the Top of Right Dragon fall.

You can see Left Dragon in front. There are bolts used for canyoning down the very high fall.

After enjoying the view we continued up.

Nothing remarkable later. Only one significant waterfall. But it was semi dry that day. Denvy tried to climb it and gave up mid way. Too slippery. Easy pass (bushy) on its right side.

Upper, mossy areas before ending at Lantau Trail section 2.

Quite some options after. Easiest way down: steep steps back to Wong Lung Hang road.

Jul2023 update: As per Tania and Niall, the recent typhoon affected the upper path and it is even more a pain to navigate than before. I guess it will take a while for it to be back more open. This might be the exit option less hiked in Wong Lung Hang.
