Hiking, running, swimming every bit of Hong Kong

Needle Hill off path

Needle Hill is an iconic spot for hikers & trail runners, who like to discuss which way up (West, East) is better. Here several less conventional routes.

Mong Hau

Small stream, easy and cute. It would be a really nice ending for a short visit to the badlands if it were not for the troublesome exit if you are following the signs around.

Tsing Tip

An alternative way up to Castle Peak & the Badlands. From fun scrambling to dangerous walls. Choose wisely according to your experience.

Sunshine Island

Small remote island with decent coasteering and a very interesting last remaining villager. Kayaking or boat hiring required to go there.

Chek Hang & Pak Hang

Small streams far in East Sai Kung Country Park. Clear Water, a few nice waterfalls, and a fun tiny gorge-like structure for those ready to go far for this.

Kau Yi Chau

Small islands in between Lantau & HK Island. A couple of nice beaches, OK short scrambling, combined with kayaking for a fun half day out.

Tai Lam slabs & caves

Various difficulty slabs to scramble on, mini caves in the middle of the jungle, impressive views, and quite some peculiar rocks in one go.

Triangular rock river

Dry stream hiking up to the rock river just under the Hunchbacks. Tons of possible additional fun around to include in a long day in the area.

Shek Fa Stream

Shek Fa 石花坑 is just a small, not specially interesting, but for two waterfalls, stream with clear water and a bushy steep exit. For the hardcore wants to see it all.
