Cute easy stream just above Tuen Mun. Good to combine, as an ending, with other routes in the area. Good on its own for beginners.

See full screen & the Garmin track (going up West Right Kau Keng first).

I think I had crossed this stream before running downhill towards Tuen Mun, perfect for a cooling and cleaning dip before ending the day. But I never had checked it thoroughly. The very last stream in the MacLehose section 10 area to ✅️ On paper it looked similar to Lo Fu stream, and indeed it has similar vibe.

After the pain that was Right West Kau Keng Hang, I hiked and slowly jogged on the sandy paths above. Really good visibility day, but also extremely sunny & hot. There are quite some peculiar rocks up there. I did not pay them much attention but to the tiny “cave” en route. Video.

I was heading to the part of the stream that I knew, when I heard water significantly upper. Therefore I headed to (7). There was decent amount of water there. Perfect for a short cooling down dip in a small pool full of fish and other creatures. But the stream here looked too bushy and I decided to follow the clear path down to (8). Clearly this (0:24) is where hikers leave this stream when going uphill. Or even a little lower. For example there is a side path from the hiking path towards approx (9) where someone has built a hut (0:35). The stream gets wider moving down. On (10) a hiking path crosses the watercourse. Lower (1:14) starts the nicest section in the full route.

With several waterfalls and pools. Cute.

To exit you have a few option. Just here

on the right you can find some stairs down (11 – 2:15) bringing you to MacLehose. I tried to follow a bit more down on the stream. But it does not deserve the effort. Soon the stream is semi blocked by another wall (2:22) guiding the water towards the catchwater. The faint creek that continues going down gets into bushy area surrounded by broken huts. Therefore I decided just to connect with MacLehose and go down to the city.

Everything you should know before stream hiking.
