Another coasteering route only for those who want to see it all. Or a cute rock spot to add in case you are hiking/coasteering in the area.

See full screen & the Garmin track.

Checking the routes map I realized that I had this tiny part of the coastline pending. We skipped it on our way to the Devil’s Fist. As per my little research, not too promising, but I needed to give it a try.

Same starting point as the Fist: Tai Mei Tuk bus stop or Public Toilet. Get ready and jogging time. Video with the full outing.

Main dam. Quite some concrete. Second smaller dam. Up quite some stairs. Dirt path and find the faint path down the small peninsula. There were more ribbons than the last time, but also more dense bush. Above all on the last downhill heading to the coastline, next to the broken old bridge/dam.

The previous time, on our way to the Fist,we crossed to the opposite shore. This time I kept on the Southern part.

If you zoom

you can see the initial wading area (approx 1.6m tide when I was there, it can be muddy dry in low low tide)

and then the easy rock scrambling section.

Pretty colors up till the Lighthouse. Just after soon it becomes boring flat. Later with mand mande structures.

Big stones initially, later a proper dam. You can zoom as much as you want to see further details on the photo above.

Just after the pier

the nicest rocks en route. A “coffin stone” under which you can pass and

very bright colored rocks & pretty volcanic formations. This section is relatively short and then more flattish ground.

I saw, at least, a couple of huts and quite some fishermen. Above all on the last part before connecting back with the dam. I ended up in the very same starting point.

A few more pics.

If you are around I would suggest you to check the mentioned second rock section. No more.

Everything you should know before coasteering.
