The little brother of Tai Shing main stream. Clear water and chances of encountering quite some fauna, but little more. Low flow.
- Beauty/fun: 3.5/10 just a small section with small waterfalls and pools. Mainly flattish and low flowed. Clear water, although there are several paths above, so hikers can use soap and others…
- Difficulty (check this link if new here, this is not your standard HK hiking web): 4/10 Relatively flat, very little scrambling required, almost no forks. Dense vegetation in some sections.

I had passed this small tributary uncountable times on my way up to Tai Mo Shan. Early May I checked it completely. I take for granted that you have been in the main Tai Shing stream before. If not, head there first! 😄 If you want to check Left fully, just head to the entry explained in the post before. So here next to the pipeline
down the rock and into the stream.
Very few meters later you will see the small tributary on the left separating from the main stream. Almost nothing in this tiny section before connecting with the hiking path.
And in again in the stream for the second section. Quite flat. With old man-made walls around. A few sections with dense vegetation, that I passed without using the pruners. I could see also a few signs saying that it is forbidden to catch wild animals.
Very small waterfalls and pools. Several trees down and a few slightly interesting tree/rock formations before connecting with the mid way hiking path.
Just a little after, marked with the flag on the map, the only interesting point of the whole stream. A few waterfalls and pools that must be OK to cool down in the rainy season. I might go up there and down (5min) next time around.
Upper there is nothing specially interesting with the flow diminishing to a trickle. Clear hiking path out back to Shing Mun reservoir.
So, again, just for the I-want-to-see-them-alls.
