HK outdoor adventures

Hiking, running, swimming every bit of Hong Kong

Bluff island full

Coasteering the full perimeter of a really nice island. Pretty rock formations, varied colors, a long tunnel, fun challenging traverses.

Taiwan

Taiwan feels sometimes like the big brother of Hong Kong, for me. Similar outdoor adventures are possible there but on a way bigger scale.

A Kung Ngam

Tiny coasteering route with Coastal Defense museum start and a bit more of historical sites around. Perfect for a short one but for the water quality.

Ap Chau

I had a few islets pending to check on the very North of Hong Kong. Just further up than Kat O. Ticking out the last parts of all HK coastline.

Tai Shing Left

The little brother of Tai Shing main stream. Clear water and chances of encountering quite some fauna, but little more. Low flow.

Feng Bi 鳳壁

It might be the most well-known of the perilous scrambles in HK. Once a feared courage & skills test, dangerously becoming an Instagram spot…

Lei Muk Shue

Small stream with just a few interesting trees and man-made structures. Very little flow, small climbable waterfalls, and relatively slippery rocks.

Shen Xiu Left

Another small stream heading up towards Needle Hill. Gentle high falls and pools that can look pretty in rainy season before bushy/slippery exit.

Shen Xiu

The most impressive cliff under Needle Hill. That feature aside, a not interesting, slightly tricky & trashed little flow stream within the jungle.
