Hiking, running, swimming every bit of Hong Kong

Tai Hang

Tai Hang 大坑 is a wide cute stream with clear water & tons of small fauna. Quite flat with a few waterfalls. It can be quite slippery & thorny.

Inside Plover Cove

A very peculiar “coasteering” with landscapes that could be from abroad. A couple of not very interesting obscure creeks included in the loop.

West Lotus Tower

A peculiar rock formation in the middle of nowhere. Not recommended but for avid hikers wanting to visit all Hong Kong.

Lantau Pass cliffs

Rock rivers, some scrambling, not the most clear navigation going up to Lantau Peak. Just one further route option for the avid hikers.

Mt Butler creek

Small stream, slabs, a climbing wall, a peculiar pipeline tunnel & more next to the city. Water quality can vary significantly in each season.

Tolo West

A picturesque (mostly in Instagram way) mangrove, clear water, some nice sandy areas, tiny interesting rocks and no more in this area.

Scrambling 101

A brief introduction to the activity that lies between hiking and rock climbing. Increasing the difficulty on routes good for the dry season.

Saikung kayak

Easy day out kayaking & coastal walking on the small islands in front of the Saikung main pier. Tons of sandy areas & almost no scrambling.

Devil’s Peak

Slab climbing, more scrambling & tiny caving around one of the main defense points in the WW2. It could be added to coasteering under.
