Hiking, running, swimming every bit of Hong Kong

Category Hiking

Left Kau Kwun

Small stream with big boulders best enjoyed after significant rain days. Finding your way around, above & under the boulders is fun!

Right Kau Kwun

The right tributary of Right Kau Kwun Hang 九管右坑右源 is a decent stream with low flow, several high waterfalls & a small slab.

Pak Shek stream

A disappointing stream with almost no waterfalls + dense vegetation navigation. You have significantly better options in the area.

Kam Sha stream

Nice rocks upstream with surprisingly decent flow and nice rocks too downhill, with the characteristic sandy dirt paths of the area atop.

Fung Wong Kai

Just a cute stream within a really long route, exposed path, some loose rocks, coasteering, bush. For the most hardcore I want to see them all.

Fo Tan Hang

Mini gorge with deep pools starting almost from the very city. Tricky & dirty in that section. Cute & crystalline the upper you go.

Tai Hang

Tai Hang 大坑 is a wide cute stream with clear water & tons of small fauna. Quite flat with a few waterfalls. It can be quite slippery & thorny.

Inside Plover Cove

A very peculiar “coasteering” with landscapes that could be from abroad. A couple of not very interesting obscure creeks included in the loop.

Mt Butler creek

Small stream, slabs, a climbing wall, a peculiar pipeline tunnel & more next to the city. Water quality can vary significantly in each season.
