Hiking, running, swimming every bit of Hong Kong

Category Coasteering

Central Lamma

Easy, easy with several beaches en route on the West coast and nicer rocks and a bit more scrambling on the East side. A good option to test beginners.

Black Point

Black Point (爛角咀) is the Westernmost point of New Territories. A lot better than expected coasteering although with tons of trash.

Sham Wat – Tai O

Just a connection coasteering route that I would not do on its own. To add to a longer coasteering day or streams or others starting from Tai O.

TungChung-ShamWat

Peculiar coasteering route. Mud, some nice-looking rock scrambling, the concrete path close but far enough. Fun but for the water.

Ma Shi Chau

Do you want to try “coasteering” in the most controlled easy way, starting to see the old geology of Hong Kong? Then this might be for you.

South NinePin

Archways, tunnels, caves, clean water, fun scrambles, nice resting spots. And if you want more you can always try the rest of the islands 😉

Sha & Lung Kwu

Sha Chau and Lung Kwu Chau Marine Park (沙洲及龍鼓洲海岸公園) are relatively remote islands seldom visited. Interesting non the less.

Wang Chau

Spectacular island with an arch, long tunnel, hexagonal columns, a nice sandy area, clear water. A challenging approach for added fun 😉

North Po Toi

Big island full of huge sea caves, slabs, peculiar rock formations, and tons of cliff jumping opportunities. Definitely only for the most experienced.
