Hiking, running, swimming every bit of Hong Kong

Category Coasteering

Ma Shi Chau

Do you want to try “coasteering” in the most controlled easy way, starting to see the old geology of Hong Kong? Then this might be for you.

South NinePin

Archways, tunnels, caves, clean water, fun scrambles, nice resting spots. And if you want more you can always try the rest of the islands 😉

Sha & Lung Kwu

Sha Chau and Lung Kwu Chau Marine Park (沙洲及龍鼓洲海岸公園) are relatively remote islands seldom visited. Interesting non the less.

Wang Chau

Spectacular island with an arch, long tunnel, hexagonal columns, a nice sandy area, clear water. A challenging approach for added fun 😉

North Po Toi

Big island full of huge sea caves, slabs, peculiar rock formations, and tons of cliff jumping opportunities. Definitely only for the most experienced.

Pui O – Cheung Sha

Cute, short, and easy coasteering connecting some of the biggest beaches in Lantau. Good on its own or to add to other routes around for a long day.

Chi Ma Wan West

Fun route full of peculiar rock formations, short climbs, traverse, slabs, sit on and slide down areas and a few beaches where to rest.

Hoi Ha – Tolo

A long route full of corals, clear water, remote beaches, and a few nice rocks in the Geopark. More suitable for a swim hike than usual coasteering.

Green Egg – Silverstrand

Green Egg island is one of those little secrets that became mainstream in 2020. Mixed coasteering route heading West towards Silverstrand.
