Hiking, running, swimming every bit of Hong Kong

Category Coasteering

Tai O – Fan Lau

The furthermost route in Lantau. The very last spot for me to check in its coastline. Perfect “ending”: nice rocks, good scrambling & dolphins!

Po Toi South

The North route in Po Toi is really good but very long & exposed. The South allows more tranquil coasteering even with bad wave/wind conditions.

Steep Island

Low swell good to enjoy a nice East route but you want to do a short one? This is perfect with varied rocks, cliff jumps, caves, clear water, and more.

CWB Golf route

Espectacular cliffs, a few caves, as high scrambling and cliff jumping as you could wish for, ending up with seafood lunch and easy transportation.

Town island

Do you like small sea caves and tunnels? This is for you. Long day out if self supported, a lot more manageable with boat approach.

Pak Lap – Tung A

Good scrambling & traversing, a few cliff jump options, in coasteering mode. Cute hike with one of the best camping spots & pristine beaches even dry.

Chi Ma Wan East

Coasteering on very peculiar rock formations including the biggest boulder maze found so far in Hong Kong on a foggy late winter day.

Devil’s Fist

One of the iconic hiking routes in HK. The old-timers used to consider it the stamina test for its distance. Increased difficulty by coasteering 😉

Starling inlet

Nice colored rocks, highlighting the contrast of the very civilized Mainland in one side of the sea and old and partly abandoned Hong Kong on the other.
