Hiking, running, swimming every bit of Hong Kong

Category Coasteering

Starling inlet

Nice colored rocks, highlighting the contrast of the very civilized Mainland in one side of the sea and old and partly abandoned Hong Kong on the other.

Hoi Ha East

Clear water, easy scrambling, long coastal walk areas, quite some wading, several beaches. Better than expected route suitable for beginners.

Wu Kai Sha

A semi dry coastal route not recommended but for those trying to visit all the coast, looking for a super easy day out or just live in the area.

North Lamma

Better than expected traversing and scrambling spots mixed with more boring areas. The last chunk of the coast that I had pending in Lamma.

Kau Sai Chau

Long day stream hiking and coasteering on a cute island with a couple of well-known beaches, good scrambling and extra fun.

Tai O Headland

Tiny coasteering with a very peculiar rock formation and colorful rocks around. Tons of trash and murky water on the bad side.

Tai She coasteering

Too windy and wavy to go to the best Saikung coasteering routes but still want to enjoy the water, beach & some scrambling? The route for you.

Port Island

Coasteering on the red rocks of Mars. A peculiar small island in Saikung with complicated access, nice water, a few beaches, and dry hiking paths.

Lamma SW coast

If you are ready for a significantly longer and more challenging route, the South West coast of Lamma is even more impressive than SE one.
