Hiking, running, swimming every bit of Hong Kong

Iurgi /juːɡɪ/, Spanish (Basque) living in Hong Kong since 2004. My very first day here we hiked up to Lion Rock and since then I have been exploring all around Hong Kong, trail running, open water swimming, etc. Once I find really special places I like to show them to others. I love seeing the “I can’t believe this is HK” faces

Pak A Right creek

Tiny stream with a few waterfalls, some scrambling and too much bush walking. One more in the MacLehose Trail section one area.

Ci Sha stream

Cute easy stream next to the city. It doesn’t have any spectacular waterfalls, but quite some smaller ones & a lot of pools & green areas.

To Shek Hang

Surprisingly nice stream with city views. All the significant waterfalls are in the very first section, afterwords it is cute but a bit bushy.

Dai Hang

Short wide stream with photogenic rocks and relatively decent flow for the area that it is in, small hills. You can add it to the coasteering under.

Pak Lap creek

A tiny creek heading down to Pak Lap Bay in Saikung. It can have decent waterfalls immediately after rain. The exit was a pain though.

Tung Sam Chau

Tiny islands in the middle of Wang Chau, Town and Basalt islands. For those wanting to see every little corner of Hong Kong.

North Kau Keng

Cute easy stream just above Tuen Mun. Good to combine, as an ending, with other routes in the area. Good on its own for beginners.

RightWest KauKeng

Minuscule creek with bad rocks and tons of super dense bushy section. A no go but for the most hardcore route checkers.

Kau Tsing Hang

Turquoise water, a few nice waterfalls, shallow pools, bushy mid way & therefore short outing on its own. Combinable.
