The East shoreline of Tai Tam Bay offers an easy route full of small beaches and old structures. Good for beginners or “want to see it all”s.
Furthermost HK island with public transportation. Beautiful rocks, beach, and clear water. Easy hiking, coasteering and snorkeling there.
Trails that used to connect old villages, now abandoned, or even main areas in today’s Hong Kong crisscross our hills. Some are on the verge to disappear, overtaken by vegetation. Greatly appreciated if you hike on them 🙂
Peculiar coasteering route with interesting spots but too much concrete and small rock areas also. For hardcore “want-to-do-all” or beginners.
Beautiful route with history, distinct rock formations, challenging spots and more. The Prison and the PLA complex make it tricky though.
What kind of backpack should I buy? Should I go for something fully waterproof? Is an over shoulder bag OK?
