Just a connection coasteering route that I would not do on its own. To add to a longer coasteering day or streams or others starting from Tai O.
- Beauty/fun: 3.5/10 the area around Shan Wat has some nice-looking rocks that you can sporadically see after. But otherwise mostly this is a route of small rocks and pebbles. Flat enough even for “trail running”.
- Difficulty (check this link if new here, this is not your standard HK hiking web): 3.5/10. Minimal scrambling to avoid further wades, some mud walking, and the rest hiking on dry rocks.

We had coasteered from Tung Chung and in Sham Wat Diana decided to hike back to civilization. I continued on the coastline on my own.
The mudflat, partly green covered and eventually arriving at the rocky area.
A few nice colored rocks.
that you can find now and then on between long stretches of pebble sections.
There are not many but the few have very nice colors.
A few more to scramble on.
Before arriving at the really flat and non interesting ending till Tai O that I jogged on.
Marked out from the list of coastline sections that I had pending to check and little more. I would only do it if in Tai O and heading to the streams around Nei Sham for example, instead of the concrete path.
