Do you want to continue exploring ALL the coastline? Or otherwise, are you a beginner who needs a really easy route? This is for you.

See full screen and Garmin track.

You could start even closer to the main city area. In my case, I took a bus to Yau Kom Tau. Walk back (East) a few steps and the stairs to go down to the coastline here.

Under the Bay Bridge Lifestyle Retreat.

In no time walking on the type of rocks that I would see continuously full route.

First small piers and

unnamed beach.

Approaching Approach Beach.

Just a little further, the shed of the South Mountain Swimming Association.

More boat anchoring spots and Ting Kau Beach.

At the far end a man made wall and rocks, before getting into a promenade and

Lido Beach. A particularly photogenic spot with the bridge just above. I have seen quite some photographers and models there.

Just a little further Casam Beach.

And finally some scrambling.

You could avoid it for a while with stairs under the road wall. Relatively simple anyhow.

A radio antenna

and another small unnamed beach.

Just before Hoi Mei Wan Beach, first time that I needed to get into the water.

Decent scrambling around this area again

up till Gemini beach.

Moving forward the rocks flatten

and then “civilizes” completely with a series of semi tunnels,

concrete corridor

and construction rocks before getting

on to the small promenade of Sham Tseng.

After some concrete walking arriving at Anglers’ Beach.

At the very end more construction rocks, stairs up and down

and onto natural coastline again.

There are a few more unnamed beaches around.

I decided to end the outing and go up some stairs to the road after the second

and take the bus back at Sea Crest Villas Phase 4.

You could continue a little bit more. All the time next to the road above. On rocks and small beaches. Nothing especial.

Everything you should know before coasteering.
